Welcome to the Sparta Celtic Festival

Celebrate the music, traditions, and spirit of Celtic culture at the Sparta Celtic Festival—a FREE, family-friendly event in the heart of Sparta, Michigan.

While many people associate Celtic heritage with Ireland and Scotland, the Celtic world is much broader. In fact, there are seven Celtic nations: Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Cornwall, the Isle of Man, Brittany, and Galicia. Our festival motto, “One Village – Seven Nations,” reflects our commitment to celebrating the rich traditions and shared heritage of all Celtic cultures.

Join us each year on the second Friday and Saturday of August at Roger’s Park in Sparta for a lively weekend filled with music, dance, food, drinks, and unique vendors. Experience the excitement of the Highland Games, enjoy traditional and modern Celtic performances, explore historical reenactments, and connect with Scottish clans that keep these proud traditions alive.

The Sparta Celtic Festival is a nonprofit community celebration, made possible through the generosity of our sponsors and the support of local civic groups. Their contributions help keep this event free and welcoming for families and visitors of all ages.

Giving back is also an important part of our mission. Through partnerships and festival proceeds, we proudly support community organizations. Most recently, the festival donated $1,176 to the Kent County K-9 Unit, and over the years has contributed thousands of dollars to organizations throughout our region.
